Another H image collection to hide from my mother!
When I got my copy of True Love, I was expecting something similar to Snow Drop, except older. I was right. It’s the typical hentai game where you have to go through several days, making decisions and discovering excitement in every single day that you lived through. True Love is quite long, however (for an H fantasy game, that is). You will have to deal with a calendar that spans 3 months, from July to September. There are also several endings that you might want to experiment with. Of course, if you have the right walkthrough, you can get to shag ALL the girls in one file. I would advise, though, that you play through the game on your own first. That’s the only way you can be immensely proud of yourself as a gamer.
The thrill of having this game lies in the fact that you might want to complete the love scenes and you can view them over and over on your CG Collection menu. The only thing missing on the CG scenes are the dialogue. Not to worry! The CG scenes and your imagination already speak for themselves.
So why did I give this baby a 6? If you ask me, the calendar should’ve been shorter. Clickathons like these don’t really interest me and the only thing that keeps me going are the hentai scenes. But if you’re an avid bishoujo gamer looking for something more than your average story, then I would truly recommend this
UPDATE 10.16.2005: Many years later, I realize that this has got to be one of the more substantial bishoujo games out there. I’m not changing my rating, however, because I still prefer roleplaying and action-inducing games like Knights of Xentar over digital novels. Plus, these were my feelings when I first played it back in 2001 despite the gradual change in my preferences over the years. Now, comparing this with Divi-Dead, it is short.
Individual Rating: Art/Animation: 7 Story/Plot: 3 Characters: 5 Sounds: 8 Gameplay: 3 Ecchi Level: 7
