When Takayasu rescues the beautiful Ayane from a rape, he is drawn into a dangerous game of intrigue and seduction. He goes under cover and under the covers to sneak into Ayane’s mansion, where she has been imprisoned by her family’s sex-crazed bodyguards. Before reaching her, however, Takayasu must not only out-smart Ayane’s devilish uncle and his gang of servants, but also her seductive aunt, Kiyoe. This ‘house-mistress’ definitely has her own plans to distract the heroic detective, and it will take all of his special skills to turn the tables on her.

The first thing that struck me was that the hair color of the women are too bright, especially Ayane’s hair which was near neon green. Yecch! I hate green, especially eye-blinding tones of this color. This alone already hints at what kind of artwork is in store for the viewers. The women, in particular, aren’t even close to being pretty. Never mind the men; H artists don’t really pay that much attention to them anyway. If you notice, almost all h-anime lead males look the same. In Bondage House, however, Takayasu had a different look to him. He has some cute angles, but this isn’t noticeable at first. There was even one particular angle where he looked similar to Xenogears’ Citan Uzuki. The bonus point here is that the guy has brains. Now that is something refreshing.

The plot, on the other hand, is simplistic. Just read the cover and you’ve got your whole story, with a little twist. The house that the title is referring to has symbolic meaning, though. It’s a house of greed, where the inhabitants’ value only money and whose friends are defined by the faces of people on dollar bills—definitely not the kind of creatures anybody should respect, or even associate themselves with, lest you be bitten while your back is turned.

For those who are more focused on the sexual aspect of this anime, the title can also be taken in the literal context. The ecchi scenes are very graphic; so expect to see a lot of fornication going on.
