It is the year 2023. The revolution in communications and human-interface technology that began in the late 20th Century has culminated in the ultimate virtual reality experience: a sexual V.R. simulator that makes mere reality pale by comparison, a virtual-space where every sexual fantasy can be realized.

May Club is a virtual reality dating simulator. Which can be taken in two ways, you (the gamer) playing a simulation game or you (your character Hajime) entering a VR simulator. The story is simple enough, Hajime is in that wonderful period between graduation and starting a job and hopes to find that someone special to spend time with. He’s introduced to May Club, a VR simulator that allows “virtual” encounters with other members.

The gameplay is simple enough; you are given a set amount of “tickets” which allow you a visit to the club, up to three times a day. In the club, there are 10 different girls you will see and interact with. Depending on how your interactions go, you’re virtual relationship will progress and eventually you might meet your “dream” girl in real life!

The artwork is slightly dated but still good quality and nicely uncensored. Each girl is given a well-written background and coherent storyline that’s fun to discover, especially since each girl tends to have a “secret” behind her. Not to mention that the different “stereotypes” will allow people with various interests to find one they enjoy.

There’s great replay value to this game since not every trip to the club will result in an encounter, sometimes it’s just you meandering around. And sometimes encounters key off other encounters (there’s one location in the VR world you don’t get to see until you have a certain encounter for example.) And you do seem to spend a lot of time sleeping at home (i.e. this is what you do instead of using a ticket at the club.)

This is a good game to add to anyone’s collection, especially for the replay value. You’ll spend a lot of time figuring out the best times and places to meet the individual girls, the responses to win their hearts, and just enjoying the storyline behind each.
