============================================ THE SECRET OF INCREASING LEVELS v.1.5 by Skysenshi http://www.coolay.com ============================================ ======================== I. INTRODUCTION ======================== One of the things we're most obsessed about are increasing our levels. Not only does this make us more powerful, in this game, it also helps us gain bonus points. The most important aspect of this guide is getting the most bonus points and where you can increase your levels fast. So how do we in this game? First the important note: Reaching level 38 is probably the most difficult thing I've ever accomplished in levelling up, since you have to achieve 180,000+ experience points. But after that, everything is a breeze because from the next level onwards, you're only required to get around 2,000-4,000 experience points per level. And since there are enemies that give 2,000-4,000 on the last 10 floors, it's like you just walk a little and you get levelled up. I was able to reach level 67 before I got bored again and decided to finish the game. Imagine from level 38 to 67. That's amazing speed, and at that time, I didn't intend to go up to that kind of level. The enemies just won't leave me alone! With this kind of levelling up speed, it's not difficult to get up to level 99. The down part is that even at level 67, Eve becomes so easy it's no longer a challenge to defeat her. I could just imagine how easy she is at level 99. At one point, I even experimented by going back to the Museum to battle the regular Eve and her Ultimate Being. I finished the game in a flawless state 'cause none of their attacks even gave me damage. In this part, I got to level 71. ======================== II. THE BONUS POINTS ======================== There are two major ways on getting the bonus points: 1) When your level increases. 2) When your battles are good. I'm not talking about having powerful weapons and armors to win battles, but also having the brains to create your own strategy in defeating enemies. The better you handle your game, with less damages on Aya, the more bonus points you get. FIRST STRIKE = You should know where to place Aya. Don't rely too much on the first attack, if you do have that feature on your gun. BURST ATTACK = If you have the burst attack, all the more does this call for strategic placement. If there are three or more enemies, target the enemy in the middle, or try to stay put in one place until they all focus on you. When they start to gang up on you, run, focus your gun, then shoot the one in the middle of all of them. ACID = If you have the Acid feature on your gun, like I did, I distributed the shots among the enemies. I shoot one enemy once or twice, then I move to another and do the same thing. The acid effect of the gun will definitely kill, even if you only see 1 or 2 HP draining from them. Acid drains HP fast, so your enemies get killed even if you don't notice it. DOUBLE/TRIPLE COMMANDS = If you have double or triple command, don't waste them. I'm a stingy person and I can't bear having less than 999 ammo, so the best way is to budget the ammo. If you think your enemy is going to die with just two bullets and you have a double or triple command feature, press SQUARE after executing the first three bullets. BOSSES = The bosses always have weak spots. No matter how hard they are, they always have a weak point. If I do end up making the boss guide, I might discuss this in detail. ======================== III. HUNTING GROUNDS ======================== There are only two hunting grounds that I have found satisfying so far. If you have any more suggestions, please do share it with us. Anyways, here they are: 1) MUSEUM = The enemies here give about 1,000 - 3,000 experience points. One thing I would suggest is that you don't use a walkthrough on this one. My bro leveled up to level 36 just because he got lost and encountered a lot of enemies along the way. 2) CHRYSLER FLOORS 51-60 = The enemies here are quite as challenging as the ones on the museum. See, at the museum, I still had a weaker gun. At the Chrysler Building, it seems my gun was so powerful no enemy could stand against me. But in floors 51-60 I got confused by this squirrel a lot and it caused me major damage 'cause I can't place myself strategically when I get confused. Good thing I decided to put the burst attack and was able to get rid of the vermins easily. Levelling up is easy here. 2) CHRYSLER FLOORS 61-70 = Major hunting ground. The enemies here are a bit challenging when you first encounter them, but later you will realize how easy they are (even without the Cyanide feature, trust me you can survive). Like I said, strategic placement. Do the same thing you did with the squirrels and you won't need the Cyanide feature on your gun. Although I must admit, when I placed that feature later (after going back down to Wayne, yep I used the stairs 'cause I didn't kill the boss, but went down again), and went back up, the enemies were easily wiped out. The enemies here give around 1,000 - 4,000 experience points. You'll notice though that once you levelled up, the enemies become scarce. ======================== V. SAMPLE STATUS ======================== This was my status at level 67. My weapon and armor were already so powerful that if an idiot played my game, he could just stand there and shoot, and he will never lose. And to think my game is lousier than my bro's ('course he never got around to finishing PE). If you can play well, you can exceed the status that I achieved ('cause I'm just an average player) by bringing in higher bonus points. LEVEL 67 Offense 67 + 2 Defense 67 PEnergy 67 Status Recover 67 Active Time 86 Item Capacity 99 (46 items max, plus 4 = 50) GUN AK-47 Attack 567 Range 224 Bullets 109 Special Features: 3x Rate of Fire, Burst Attack, First Strike, Triple Command, Critical, Counterattack, Acid & Cyanide ARMOR CR ARMOR 2 Defense 260 PEnergy 231 Critical 112 Special Features: Auto Cure, Auto Heal, Anti-Stiffness, Anti-Poison, Anti-Blindness, Anti-Confusion, HP Up, Attack Up, Box +4, & one empty slot (don't have anything else to put). Note: These are my strongest equipment. I did have a secondary armor, which is a CR Armor 1, for boosting up my PE, but I never did get to bring it with me in the final battle. ======================== V.
