Someone needs a psychiatrist!
One of the most hilarious h-anime I've seen, Sprite tells
the story of a pretty young girl named Manami who has trouble
with being too attractive and shy at the same time. These
characteristics, of course, make her an easy target of gossipmongers,
bullies, and sex-starved maniacs. Enter Namithat gorgeous,
sexy, daring, and aggressive little nymph. Life has suddenly
gone easier... or has it?
The plot should sound a little complex, but it's actually
very simple, with no extraordinary twists and turns to speak
of. True blooded romantics might find Manami's story quite
touching, though, especially when it comes to the part where
her guy tries to help her get over her mental problem. What
makes it a more rewarding viewing experience is that it has
a lot of funny situations, not unlike Ujin's trademark comedies.
The art is on the common side, except on certain episodes
where the lead guy can be particularly handsome. I'm especially
fond of Nami, to the point of wishing that Manami would totally
disappear and just let Nami run the show. But of course, that's
just me.
Oh, by the way. You might wanna watch out for the Top Gun
theme playing in the background... or was that supposed to be
original music? Whoops!
