Inuyasha Movie

<< Opening Title Credits for Inu Yasha Movie

Inu Yasha Movie Toki o Koeru Omoi
Affection Which Transcends Time

The movie heavily announced since during the 40th episode of Inu Yasha was released last year, December 2001.

According to the text of the story, 300 years ago, the leaders of the ghosts from the continent covered Japan. Inu Yasha's father had repulsed the group and they were sealed.

The group however held this as a grudge. Its son is called Menoumaru and was soon revived. Menoumaru however is not after the Shikon no Tama (Ball of Four Souls) that are in Kagome's possession. Menoumaru wishes to get Tessaiga, Inu Yasha's sword because it is the last memory of the youkai who enslaved him. (The fang of Inu Yasha's father. It seems that its power too will enable him to become more powerful.

However, there are other odd things happening. Kagome fighting against Inu Yasha? Kirara fighting against Sango?

It seems that the movie has put up a new villain aside from Naraku of the TV series. For those Sesshoumaru fans out there (like me ^_^), you will be pleased to know that he also appears in the movie along with Kikyou.

Inu Yasha has long been popular in Japan since the serialization of the manga. It records one of the highest sales in Shounen Sunday. The ratings on TV show a powerful 15% audience share or more (in the Kanto prefecture). Direction is by Shinohara-san who did TV specials of Lupin III and animation director for The Boy Who Saw the Wind.

- Preview by Firesenshi.
